5 Things to Expect from iOS 11 Beta & 4 Things Not To – Gotta Be Mobile

The iOS 11 release date probably won’t land until the fall but you should be able to try the iOS 11 update long before that thanks to a beta.

Apple’s still (publicly) focused on iOS 10 with an iOS 10.3.2 update still in the cards for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners. In a month, that focus will likely shift to another version of iOS dubbed iOS 11.

iOS 11 rumors have started to heat up as we’ve pushed toward the summer and all signs point to a launch in early June.

Assuming Apple sticks to its release protocol, an early version of the iOS 11 update should be released next month giving select iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users the chance to hop off the iOS 10 update.

Apple hasn’t confirmed an iOS 11 beta but we don’t expect the company to suddenly close off early software from developers and iOS users taking part in the Beta Software Program.

There’s a very good chance Apple will release an early version of iOS 11 to developers and the general public and today we want to walk you through a few things you can expect from Apple’s iOS 11 beta release for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Our predictions will help you set your own expectations (especially if this will be your first time trying an iOS beta) as we push toward WWDC 2017 and the iOS 11 launch.

Expect an iOS 11 Beta Announcement on June 5

If Apple decides to release an iOS 11 beta, and we’re very confident it will, you can expect the company to confirm the release during its WWDC 2017 keynote on June 5th.

WWDC 2017 kicks off in early June though it will do so from a new location. Apple’s taking its annual developer conference to San Jose this year.

On June 5th, we expect Tim Cook and other Apple executives to address developers in attendance and the thousands of Apple enthusiasts and consumers watching from home.

The company hasn’t said what it will be announcing but that keynote will probably be the launch pad for the iOS 11 update and its beta.

If Apple sticks to its protocol, you can expect an iOS 11 beta release shortly after the conclusion of the WWDC 2017 keynote on June 5th.
