TAMPA (WFLA) – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office needs your help bringing an iPhone thief to justice.
It happened April 4 at a Boost Mobile store in Tampa.
Deputies say a man attempted to purchase three iPhones using a gift card the clerk informed the suspect that his method of payment was not accepted due to possible fraud. The suspect then attempted to grab all three phones he threatened to hit the store clerk with a computer keyboard
The clerk, in fear of being hurt, gave all three phones to the suspect. He fled the store in a silver 2007 Hyundai, possibly a Sonata.
The suspect, described as a black male, approximately 5’7″ and 170lbs, had a goatee, piercings in both ears and was last seen wearing a red, white and black Fila t-shirt, black skinny jeans and black Nike flip flops.
