When you can’t be with your four-legged friend, they may get a little bored and lazy. Cheerble Wicket Ball is a smart toy that solves the problem. In essence, it’s a ball that throws itself.
- What is the best new technology for pets? Take a look through our gadget-filled pet shop to see the coolest new tech for your furry friend.
- How much exercise does my pet need every day? Dogs need between 30 minutes and two hours of running about, while cats need several 10–15 minute play times each day.
- How do you encourage your pet to be more active? If you don’t have time to play, the Cheerble Wicked Ball smart toy should get your pet up and active throughout the day.
When left to our own devices, we all get a little lazy. Instead of joining in with the conversation and keeping up appearances, we easily let things slip. The same goes for dogs and cats. Without human input, they easily get bored and just lie around all day.
Modern life makes it impossible to be with your fur baby 24 hours a day. But when you can’t be there, the Cheerble Wicked Ball will keep your dog or cat entertained. This smart toy has several interactive modes, giving your pet something to chase.
What is a smart toy?
While dogs have their chew toys and cats have fake mice, the most exciting games always involve some human input. Our pets are hunters by instinct, so they love to chase.
Normally speaking, such games are impossible when you are not present. But with the Wicked Ball, your pet can “hunt” all day without a playmate.
This smart toy looks like a regular ball, but there is technology buried within. When activated, the Wicked Ball will first vibrate on the spot to attract your pet.
When they start to investigate, the ball will shake, jump and roll around. This behavior will keep your pet entertained for ages, and it encourages movement.
From this description, you could easily think that Wicked Ball is an oversized Mexican jumping bean. However, this smart toy is more intelligent than it seems.
First of all, the ball offers three different play modes. These offer varying levels of intensity, from gentle to active. You can set the mode according to how much energy your pet has to burn.
In addition, the Wicked Ball has an intelligent play cycle: after 10 minutes of play, the ball automatically rests for 30 minutes. This ensures your pet won’t get bored or worn out by constant stimulation.
Once the 30-minute rest period expires, the ball starts actively teasing your pet again. It’s a great way to stop your furry friend from sleeping the day away.
“As we all know, the innate nature of hunting and crisis awareness of animals makes dogs or cats very sensitive to moving objects. Therefore, Cheerble Wicked Ball attracts their attention by simulating the behavior of small animals, fully mobilizing their enthusiasm and getting them excited.” — Cheerble on Kickstarter
Fun for Your Furry Friend
We have many pet owners here at the Gadget Flow, so we understand how dogs and cats behave. The Wicked Ball looks like a great way to provide stimulation throughout the day.
To select the play mode, you have to unscrew the ball. This slight inconvenience could probably be cured with future design tweaks.
